Steel Brushes: Allies in Combating Rust

Today we are going to talk a little about a tool that is extremely important for anyone working with metals and repairing structures: the steel brushes.

We are used to dealing with brushes early in life, from the moment we learn that leaving our teeth clean and treated after every meal helps maintain our oral health. Although we won't deal with toothbrushes, steel brushes share very interesting similarities with their hygiene cousins.

Steel Brushes are hand tools, consisting of a base, usually wood or plastic, which may contain even a handle, and metal bristles, usually steel wire. Brushes are considered an abrasive product, that is, a product that is capable of generating friction with surfaces through their scraping or erasing, since the metal of their bristles are employed for polishing other materials.

Like the mouth brushes, the steel brushes have the main function of cleaning. While, of course, the former clean our teeth, the latter are often applied for cleaning metals, scraping walls and removing paint - with the help of spatulas. Removing rust from ferrous materials is just one of the main indications of this super versatile tool.

Although it is a relatively simple tool, care must be taken at the time of use as the generated friction may return as solid particles. So always consider contacting professionals to help you perform the tasks you need in the best and most secure way.

Max produces several models of Steel Brushes, each seeking to simplify work and make their use increasingly comfortable for handling.
